He stated, “As usual, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has always intervened in federal roads to ameliorate the sufferings of commuters who are primarily residents in the state, as well as commuters passing through Delta.”
The Commissioner further expressed confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to finding a solution, saying, “I believe in His Excellency that in the next couple of weeks, he will receive a firsthand report on the situation. He has already instructed the Ministry to assess the extent of the damage at these bad spots, and hopefully, we will have the report this week. We are evaluating the necessary funding and measures required to address the situation promptly. Governor Oborevwori, as he has done in the past, will take preventive measures to minimize the suffering of commuters until the federal government can intervene.”
