Delta State Ministry of Science and Technology under the headship of Olorogun Jennifer Oma Adasen has come out tops in the State Ministry Category at the just concluded Technology and innovation expo 2023 organized by the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Eagle Square, Abuja
The 7th edition of the Science, Technology, and innovation Expo 2023, had as its theme, “Actualizing Effective Diversification of the Nigerian Economy, through Science, Technology, and innovation”.
Presenting the first-ever award to any Delta Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Senator Adeleke Mamora, said Delta State made all the required parameters for coming out tops among ministries of Science, technology, and innovation nationwide.
Noting that the construction of a Solar panel box idealized by Delta State is of world Standard, the minister of science, technology, and innovation, said Delta,s trailblazing efforts have engendered his ministry’s zeal to ensure all-round lCT driven policies and programs of the federal government.
In her remarks, the Delta State Science and Technology Commissioner, Olorogun Jennifer Oma Adasen, appreciated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, for his proactive support to the ICT milieu of Delta, which has added more impetus to Delta,s unmatched profile of science and technology-compliant states in Nigeria.
The Delta Science and Technology Commissioner also commended the Minister, Senator Adeleke Mamora, for his proactive approach to engendering technology-based innovations since he assumed office.
Present at the historic presentation was the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ben Okonta, among others.
