Delta State Road Expansion: Enerhen Flyover Construction Begins – Manager Provides Progress Update

During an interaction with journalists on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Barr. Funyei Manager, Delta State Commissioner for Special Projects, provided an update on the 78 billion naira road expansion project in Warri and surrounding areas.

Manager explained that the project is being carried out in phases, with his ministry specifically focusing on the Enerhen flyover, which is part of phase three. He reported that Julius Berger Construction Company has commenced work on the site, starting with piling operations. The area has been closed off for safety, and alternative routes have been established to minimize public disruptions, he added.

The Commissioner noted that the entire project is expected to take 27 months to complete, starting from the initial mobilization. He urged residents to be patient during the construction period, highlighting the long-term benefits and encouraging support for Governor’s Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration’s development efforts.

Manager assured that monitoring the progress of construction and maintaining open public access routes will be top priorities for the Ministry throughout the project’s duration.
