Delta State CP deploys 1000 Policemen ahead of the coronation of Olu of Warri, warns mischief makers to steer clear

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+ has deployed One thousand police personnel ahead of the forthcoming coronation ceremony of the Olu of Warri to ensure watertight security before, during, and after the coronation.

The coronation ceremony is said to take place on 21st August 2021.

This was made known to newsmen in a statement signed and released by the acting Delta State Police Commands’ Police Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

In the statement, DSP Edafe said that two bomb squad has been deployed to report 48hours before the coronation day and to sweep the venue to ensure it is completely rendered safe.

He said two units of Mobile police personnel and conventional police officers which include traffic personnel have also been deployed.

According to Edafe, the commissioner of police said, the measure is to ensure watertight security.

He also said the CP has warned mischief makers to steer clear as the command is more than ready to deal decisively with anybody who tries to disrupt or cause any form of mischief during the coronation.

The CP further said all that needs to be done to ensure that the event is itch-free and devoid of any form of violence has been put in place.

Also, the commissioner of police while wishing the people of Warri and Deltans a peaceful and hitch-free coronation ceremony has directed the Area Commander of Warri Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Operations Officers of the Command to leave no stone unturned towards ensuring thorough supervision of personnel deployed for the actualization of the peace and tranquility during and after the coronation ceremony.
