Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has commended Mayorkun, one of the artists on his music label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
The singer revealed this following the completion of his third studio work.
Mayorkun, who was born Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, shared a video of himself singing to Davido’s latest album, A Better Time, and at the same time, praising him for blessing Nigerians with adorable music.
The singer tweeted a video of him singing and dancing that he learned music from the boss, referring to Davido.
Replying to Mayorkun’s video, Davido thanked God for the day he found Mayorkun who has now turned to be his friend and one of the best artists on his label.
Davido released his much-awaited album, A Better Time, to the joy of fans.
The singer’s body of work was released on November 13, 2020, as promised and in no time, fans had listened to all the tracks and shared their hot takes on it on their social media pages.
The 16-track album featured both local and international artists like Tiwa Savage, Mayorkun, Lil Baby, Nas, and Chris Brown.
One of Davido’s fans from the political circle is the former vice president of Nigeria and the 2019 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku took to Twitter to congratulate the FEM crooner on the release of his highly anticipated album, A Better Time.
The politician who insinuated that Davido ushered in a better time literally, wrote: “Congratulations @Davido for ushering in #ABetterTime.”
Meanwhile, American rapper, Nicki Minaj who is one of the foreign artists featured on Davido’s new album, joined the list of people who have reached out to the singer after his album dropped on Friday, November 13.
One of the early highlights of the album was his Holy Ground track with Nicki which celebrated and honored love. The track has been anticipated by fans for quite some time.
