Nigerian singer and record label boss, Davido, has become the first Nigerian artist to be featured on the soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The singer is on the track with American R&B singer, Trinidad Cardona alongside Aisha, an American singer.
Announcing the development, Davido in a Twitter post he shared on Friday started ”I’m honored to be featured on the Official @FIFAWorldCup 2022 Soundtrack! See y’all later 2NITE! This one is for Africa! TULE!!!! 🤞🏾❤️ WE RISE !”

The soundtrack titled; Hayya Hayya (better together) is produced by RedOne, and it is set to debut on Friday, April 1, 2022.
At the draw ceremony, the song will be performed live while being live-streamed globally.
The World Cup is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022.
