The Federal Capital Territory Administration, on Wednesday, announced the confirmation of 10 new COVID-19 cases in Abuja.
As at 11:40 pm 5th May, 2020, there are 307 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria’s capital.
The FCTA in a tweet confirmed that 40 have been discharged and 3 deaths recorded.
“Ten new cases in the FCT.
“Summary of COVID19FCT as at 11:40pm, May 5th, 2020.
“Total number of confirmed cases: 307. Total number of active cases: 264;
” Total discharged: 40. Deaths recorded: 3;
“Residents are urged to take preventive measures seriously. #StaySafe,” it tweeted.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, on Tuesday, said Nigeria has started using Remdesivir to treat COVID-19 patients.
Remdesivir is an antiretroviral drug in managing COVID-19 patients.
