Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, GehGeh, has reacted to criticisms about his style of commentary, especially his frequent remarks about women.
The skitmaker, who is well-known on TikTok and other social media platforms, has faced backlash from some Nigerians who believe his content encourages men to dislike women.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), GehGeh defended himself, saying his jokes should not be mistaken for hate or bias.
“The fact say I dey talk about women no mean say I no like women ooh Nigerians,” he wrote. “If your girlfriend give me d**, I go collect.”
His response came after reports that more than 20,000 people joined an online space where he spoke to men about managing their finances and relationships.
Despite the controversies, GehGeh insisted that his content is only a form of comedy and satire aimed at connecting with Nigerians. He explained that his jokes are not meant to be malicious but rather his own way of “giving back” to society.
In another post, he said:
“So Nigerians, na bad thing to give back to the country? So na because of me APC government no take una serious for the country eeehn Nigerians. All I’m doing is giving back to my people and I’ll never stop.”
For now, the comedian appears determined to continue with his unique brand of humor, even as debates over his style continue on social media.
