Chief Ejovi Challenges Ex-Wife’s BBC Claims with 2021 Police Report Evidence

In a compelling turn of events, Chief Johnbull Ejovi has come forward to challenge the claims made by his ex-wife, Emily Apiloko, during her recent BBC interview. Presenting a 2021 police statement from the Alagbon Police Station in Lagos, Ejovi refuted Apiloko’s narrative regarding their surrogacy arrangement.

The police statement, provided by Ejovi, revealed key details that contradicted Apiloko’s version of events. According to the statement, Apiloko acknowledged that Ejovi was not involved in the surrogacy process and bore no responsibility for the birth of their two children.

In her statement to the police, Apiloko outlined the history of their infertility struggles, including failed IVF attempts, and her decision to pursue surrogacy independently after Ejovi withdrew his consent. She emphasized that despite her husband’s withdrawal of support, she was determined to fulfil her desire to have children of her own.

The revelation in the police statement raises questions about the accuracy of Apiloko’s claims in the BBC interview and sheds new light on the complexities surrounding their surrogacy journey. As the public awaits further developments in this ongoing saga, Chief John Bull Ejovi’s evidence presents a compelling counter-narrative to his ex-wife’s assertions.

Read Apiloko’s statement she wrote at Alagbon Police Station in 2021: “I confirm that my husband and I discussed the possibility of using a surrogate to have a child or children, as we are unable to do so without medical or other support. We previously undertook four IVF courses, which were unsuccessful, so surrogacy was an appealing option.”

“I’m 48 years old, and my husband is 66, although he had been blessed with six grown-up children from previous relationships. I have no children of my own and desire to have them. “Unfortunately, there were aspects of the surrogacy arrangement which were not sufficiently or adequately explained to the satisfaction of my husband. As a result, he withdrew his consent, and I decided to pursue this goal on my own as I desire to have children of my own, with or without his support, although I would have preferred his full and unfettered support.

“My efforts were successful with the birth of two children: Christian Maro Apiloko and Christabel Oromena Apiloko, both born on 7 June 2021 at EMobile Specialist Hospital, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria.“I love my husband, but I’m committed to having children of my own. I confirm that he is not involved and bears no responsibility or liability for the surrogacy arrangement that resulted in the birth of my children.“I make this statement to the best of my knowledge, believing it to be true.”
