Charly Boy Betrayed Me For N70M Over 2004 Clash With 50 Cent – Eedris

Ace Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, has blasted his colleague, Charly Boy, over the comments he made about his clash with 50 Cent, the American rapper in 2004.

Eedris faulted Charly Boy for betraying him after he collected N70M from Nigeria Breweries to blackmail him.

Trouble started after Charly Boy described Eedris as an “ungrateful son” who didn’t appreciate his efforts, despite playing a vital role as the President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

The veteran singer alleged that “The people wey know dis story go tell you to say after I show 50 Cent’s people craze, I made dem leave Nigeria that day back to the states, forgetting the rest of their Nigerian tour.”

“For beating my ungrateful son Edris I drove dem back to America. Nigerian Breweries head scatter, dem come arrange package the IG of police, I was locked up in police cell for almost 1 month. Sometimes in Life, the people that you fight for the fight you back out of their ignorance,” Charly Boy added.

While responding to his comments, Eedris in a series of posts on his Instagram page on Friday, January 14, 2022, accused him of trying “to take the glory that belongs to him.”

The 47-years-old rapper also accused him of being a fake activist who is only interested in financial gains and not leadership.

According to him, he said he called Charly Boy to weigh into the matter after 50 Cent and his team disgraced him while aboard a plane, but further revealed how Charly Boy ended up disappointing him and “sold him out” after collecting over N70 million to blackmail him.

In his post, the ‘Jaga Jaga’ singer wrote “Shut up, you collected 70million from Nigerian breweries to blackmail me, you also collected the evidence of the attack by 50 Cent and Gunit from DJ Tee who recorded everything that happened in the plane on that faithful day.”

He also recounted how Psquare, the now-defunct KC Presh, and other artists were chased and harassed out of a show by the organizers.

The rapper also released a video wherein he further gave his account of what happened at the time.

In 2004, 50 Cent had visited Nigeria alongside his crew for a four-city concert tagged ‘Star Mega Jams’.

But the event was ruined with violent disputes after Eedris and the U.S rapper fell out over a deal — a development that eventually forced the US rapper and his team out of Nigeria.
