As the Asaba Royal Palace formally announce the passage of the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof Choke Edozien, the Onishe of Ubulu uku kingdom in Aniocha South, Chief Emma Ejiofor, has described the departed revered monarch as a refined and visible traditional ruler who left behind indelible memories in the hearts of those whose paths crossed his.
In a condolence message made available to newsmen in Ubulu uku , the Onishe ( King maker ) , said Obi Chike Edozien was not only an astute gentleman who always stamps his presence by his highly cerebral viewpoints , but also faces issues dispassionately
While thanking God for the impactful life lived by the Asagba in the administration of his kingdom which is evidenced by the pervading peaceful coexistence among residents of Asaba , the Ubulu uku kingmaker also stated that the developmental strides recorded by successive administrations in the state capital, had been due largely to the departed Asagba,s style of leadership which encouraged mutual respect between government and the community
Chief Emma Ejiofor who also said the late Obi Professor Chike Edozien was a fair minded monarch who accommodated all view points but was always convinced in his views no matter whose ox is gored , said the Asaba monarch is endowed with a large accommodating heart towards all and sundry
Said the Onishe of Ubulu uku kingdom: ” Asagba Obi Professor Chike Edozien was very close to our departed Obi, Ofulue the 1st. A man of impeccable character, there is something enigmatic about him, an embodiment of knowledge , that leaves an indelible impression on whoever interacts with him. He took me as a son and friend , even with the age difference and l am proud to know him and benefit from his fountain of royal knowledge and regal bearing “
While commiserating with the Edozien family of Umuezei quarters , the Asaba community and Deltans in general , over the joining of his ancestors by Obi Edozien, the Ubulu uku king maker prayed for the repose of the soul of the respected Professor of medicine and centenarian monarch of Asaba
