Another attack on Imo police command by gunmen

The Okigwe South Police Division, Orieagu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State have been attacked by gunmen on Monday, April 26.

It was gathered that six police officers have been killed during the attack and prisoners were freed before setting some of the facility ablaze as reported by Punch.

According to a source who does not want his name to be mentioned stated that the gunmen on arrival opened fire on the officers who questioned them, freed all the suspects in the custody, and made away with weapons.

Meanwhile, the state police public relations officer, Orlando Ikeokwu revealed that five policemen were killed while one was missing, stating that the command has commenced an investigation into the invasion.
