Popular Nigerian singer and DMW signee, Adewale Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, has revealed plans to dropped his much-awaited sophomore album ‘Back In Office’.
Mayorkun made this revelation known on his Instagram page on Thursday while revealing October 29 as the release date.
According to the musician, he thanks his supporters over the years and also asked them to anticipate the project’s release.
The singer in his caption on Instagram wrote “It’s been 3 years…finally my sophomore project – ‘Back In Office’ (The album) is coming October 29. Thank you for holding it down for me every time. Words ain’t enough.”
The upcoming project is Mayorkun’s first album since 2018 when he dropped ‘The Mayor of Lagos’.
The breakthrough album, which featured D’banj, Davido, and Patoranking, garnered massive numbers across streaming platforms and also brought the singer’s popularity. Ever since then, Mayorkun has continued to pull the strings.
The DMW signee has scooped different awards including the ‘Next Rated’ artiste at the 2018 edition of The Headies as well as ‘Artiste of the Year’ back in 2017.
Recall last year, he had put out a four-track EP remixing ‘Geng’, his hit track, featuring MI Abaga, Vector, and YCee.
In August, the 27-year-old musician also came through with the visuals for ‘Let Me Know’, his first single of the year 2021.
