Aniocha North, Delta State – The Marvis Foundation in Aniocha North is speaking out loudly against the increasing number of kidnappings happening in their communities. In a press statement shared on Monday, May 26, 2025, leaders of the foundation expressed their sadness and anger over the situation.
They said that many people in Aniocha North are living in fear because of the frequent kidnappings. These crimes are making life hard and dangerous for everyone, and the community feels the government is not doing enough to keep them safe.
Comrade Peter Onyeisi Marvellous, the founder of the Marvis Foundation, said, “The people of Aniocha North are strong and full of life, but we are tired of living in fear. We cannot continue like this.”
The group reminded the government that it is their main job to protect people’s lives and properties. They also quoted the Nigerian Constitution, which says the safety and well-being of the people should be the government’s number one priority.
The foundation believes the kidnappers are hiding in the communities and waiting for the next chance to strike. They are asking the police and other security officers to take action quickly, not wait until someone is kidnapped again.
They want the local security agencies to have better tools and money so they can stop crimes like kidnapping, robbery, and destruction of property before they happen. They also said they are ready to work with the police and government leaders to find a lasting solution.
Comrade Iduh Martins Uchechukwu, the coordinator of the foundation, said, “We will not sit and watch while our people live in fear. We want real action, not empty promises.”
The foundation warned that if the government and security agencies do not act fast, they may protest by taking to the streets.
