Nigerian author, activist, and influencer, Reno Omokri disagrees with the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s reliance on divine intervention for security issues, advocating for proactive measures such as citizens bearing arms for self-defence referencing biblical examples and the need to prioritize all lives equally.
Reno made this known through a post he shared on Sunday on his page on the X platform formally known as Twitter.
In the post, Reno said he believes that Nigeria should not rely on God for security but argued that Nigeria should answer the question God asked Moses and support Senator Ned Nwoko’s bill for Nigerians to bear arms in self-defence.
He added that self-defence is an ineligible right vested in every human being, as seen in Scripture, stating that If bullets start flying in the other direction, bandits and kidnappers will look for a different profession.
He also emphasizes that God does not love traditional rulers more than professional beggars and that every life is important to God, except for those who took a life themselves. He urges Nigerians to support Senator Nwoko’s arms bill.
