The Youth Advocacy For Good Governance has applauded the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for ensuring peaceful polls.
In a statement signed by the Chairperson of YAGG, Comrade Mike Uti Azukaego, PRO, Comrade Victor Egwuyenga, and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Chuks Golden while commenting on the election stated that “It is something to be regarded as a litmus test for the 2023 national election.
According to the statement, a successful inspection was carried out during the electioneering process across the 25 local government areas and the reports are to ascertain the level of success achieved in the just concluded LG polls.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for accomodating women in the quest for good governance, while adding that “for the first time, that over 17 women were successfully voted to occupy the executive seats at the local govt level. YAGG also applauds Desiec for allowing the will of the people to prevail.
The advocacy group also went further to address the need for youth involvement in politics, berating them to actively participate in every election to elect only those they are sure of having the needed willpower to lead, while also urges youths to deviate from being an instrument used by politicians who masquerade themselves as leaders.
The group also frowns at the state of insecurity in the country, YAGG condemns the government Specifically at the center who is saddled with the responsibility of tackling insecurity in the country for doing little in addressing the security issues. While also reminding the ruling Apc and President Muhammadu Buhari to be conscious of the fact that Nigerians are expecting a lot from them.
The group furthermore reminded the govt to be conscious of the fact that Nigerians are expecting a lot from them one of which is the need to address the unending insecurity that is spreading like a wildfire and the urgent need to rebuild the already ravaged economy.
YAGG however congratulates the already elected LG chairmen and the councilors demanding them to be steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional duties as they pilot the affairs at the local councils.
