A sad incident occurred in Abuja when a Nigerian police officer, Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, died at a hotel after meeting a woman he had connected with on social media.
Inspector Ibrahim, who worked in Kwali Division, checked into Palasa Guest Inn in Gwagwalada with Maryam Abba, a woman he invited from Jigawa State.
What Happened?
Maryam explained that they spent the night together, and in the morning, they had another private moment. Afterward, she noticed that his breathing became strange and suddenly stopped.
“I tried to wake him by sprinkling water on him, but it didn’t work,” she said.
She quickly informed the hotel manager, who called the police for help.
What Did the Police Do?
The police came to the hotel and took Inspector Ibrahim to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, but sadly, the doctors confirmed that he had already passed away. His body was taken to the hospital morgue for further examination.
The police have arrested Maryam to ask her more questions about what happened, but no official statements have been released by the police spokesperson yet.
This unfortunate event has left many shocked and saddened.
