What Banky W said after losing election to LP candidate

After losing the Federal House of Representatives seat for the second time, Bankole Wellington, better known by his stage name Banky W, has finally spoken out.

He said he had made plans to celebrate his highly anticipated win before he was announced to have lost the election.

He said this in a video while speaking at ‘The Water Brook’ church service.

In the video which he shared on his Instagram page on Monday, Banky said the loss will not stop him from praising God.

Expressing his disappointment after losing the election, the singer revealed that he had discussed with the lead pastor how he would go to Abuja and secure an apartment for the new office if he have won.

According to Banky in a message he titled ‘Faith after a Fall’ said “God said is it only faith when you win? Because the truth is, your faith in God does not stop you from hurting. But it helps you heal and it helps you deal.”

He urged the congregation to be prepared and know that sometimes, their journey in Christianity can demand “sacrifice, pain, confusion or frustration.”

“Your faith in God is not just about when everything is rosy or a walk in the park,” he added.

On February 25, Banky contested for the Eti-Osa federal constituency seat under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a position he lost to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP).

Attah secured 24,075 votes to beat Banky W who had 18,666 votes.
