Nigerian artist, Rugar, has come through with an eye-catching, pirate-style musical video for ‘Dior’.
The video was directed by Topshotta. Dior is one of the songs from his Second Wave EP that he released last year.
In the video, Rugar Sticking to the eye-catching style and swashbuckling pirate style acts as the commander of the H.M.S Dior alongside his love interests across the seas of the Cape of Good Hope.
According to an interview with OkayAfrica, Ruger formerly explained his attitude toward those EPs, he said: “I made those vibes during the pandemic. I’ll always say this, ‘You can’t control the situation you find yourself in but you can control your reaction toward that situation.’ I just used that energy when making music.”
The 22-year-old Nigerian artist broke through mid-pandemic with the massive reception his single, “Bounce” received, as well as his subsequent Pandemic and Second Wave EPs.
