The Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters/Chairman of Governing Board, College of Education, Warri, Dr. Festus Okubor, has said there is a need for Warri to get better government attention than it has now.
Dr. Okubor said this when he plays host to journalists at his official residence on Tuesday in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
He said no sitting governor will give better developmental attention to Warri than the son from the soil of Warri.
According to Dr. Okubor, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Sheriff Oborovwore is the best candidate that has very good attributes, experience, and qualities to be governor of the state and is the best candidate to give better attention to Warri stating that “Sheriff comes from Osubi and Osubi is in Warri.
“Though Warri may not be how it ought to be at the moment but gloriously speaking, for good reasons, we will applaud neutrally how Ibori turn Oghara to where we started calling it Oghara-London.”
Again he said, Governor Okowa has done a lot for the Ika people and they are grateful to him and he has also done a lot for the entire state adding that Warri deserves far greater attention developmentally and the level of attention Warri deserves at this point can only be given by someone who is from Warri and its environs, this is what gives credence to Sheriff.
Speaking further Dr. Okubor said it will be good for those lovers of Warri and those who wish to dream of Warri London to go for Sheriff Oborovwore, explaining that it’s not easy to be the longest-serving Speaker in any state, no matter what the people say, Sheriff has very good qualities because to be able to build confidence among his colleagues, he has done that successfully and they know he is not greedy and self-centered.
Talking about Oborovwore street credibility, Dr. Okubor hinted that the street can be a jungle and one cannot survive in the street by being greedy, not respecting hierarchy or not being nice to people, or being weak.
He maintains that the street can only give you credibility and follows you when you have qualities because the street is the perfect place to live.
