
As accolades continue to pour in for the PDP Vice Presidential candidate and Governor of Delta State over his recent Vanguard Newspapers Personality of the year 2022 award, Science and Technology Commissioner, Jennifer Oma Adasen, has described it as “the icing on the cake” for a distinguished public service to Delta and indeed the nation spanning several decades.
In a congratulatory statement, the Science and Technology Commissioner emphasized that this award has once again proven that Governor Okowa’s track record of good governance and leadership capacity is widely acknowledged even by the critical sectors of society that the media represents.
Describing the PDP Vice Presidential candidate as an accomplished and highly detailed statesman, Olorogun Jennifer Oma Adasen, noted that, from his humble beginnings in the local government administration to his emergence as Governor, Okowa had continued to impact positively in any task he undertook, such that the indelible footprints of his administration under the Stronger Delta mantra are visible and tangible across the three senatorial districts of the state.
The Delta State Commissioner for Science and Technology specifically mentioned the Governor,s passion for youth empowerment through her ministry and other agencies of government which have in no small measure brought hope and relief to the teeming mass of unemployed youths who now have their businesses and are training others to be self-employed.
Commissioner Jennifer Adasen, therefore thanked the board and management of Vanguard Newspapers for finding her boss worthy of recognition for the award, adding that she does not doubt that it will spur the Governor to do more in his distinguished public service career.
