The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has called on newly sworn-in Commissioners and Special Advisers to fully commit to advancing the state’s development.
Following the inauguration of six new Commissioners and six Special Advisers by Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Rt Hon Guwor congratulated the appointees on their new roles, acknowledging their expertise and dedication. Though he could not attend the ceremony at the Unity Hall, Government House in Asaba, the Speaker praised the appointments as a reflection of their competence and service.
In a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, Guwor urged the new officials to focus on the welfare of the people and to work towards the goals outlined in the Governor’s MORE agenda. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state Legislature, other government branches, and the new appointees.
Guwor also highlighted the need for transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in their work. He expressed his anticipation for their support in advancing the legislative agenda and passing bills that benefit the state’s residents.
The Speaker reminded the new appointees that their roles are a call to service and that the people of Delta State expect their best efforts in governance and development.
