Three final year students of the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government of Area, have died in an accident after their final examinations.
The accident involved a commercial tricycle (Keke) and a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Goldennationblog.com gathered that the deceased, two females and a male, died on the Isselle-Azagba/Ogwashi-Uku Road on their way to an alleged ‘graduation party’.
It was gathered that the victims wrote their final papers on Friday, November 13, and were joined by other friends for the party about 8 pm when the accident happened.
While the female students died immediately, the male who was unconscious, died on Sunday.
When contacted by newsmen, Police spokesperson Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that an accident had also occurred along Issele-Azagba/Ogwashi-Uku road, on Wednesday, November 11.
The accident which involved the head of Mass Communication Department in Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic, Dr. Emmanuel Apkoveta, and some students, was described by eyewitnesses as a divine escape by God.
