See when retired Police officers will begin registration for NHIS

The Delta State Police Command has notified retirees of the force on the second phase of registration of retired police officers on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS.

The registration exercise will commence 8 hours daily from March 15, 2021, to March 18, 2021, and it will be done across all Area commands in Delta State namely Asaba, Agbor, Burutu, Ogwashi-Uku, Ozoro, Sapele, Ughelli, and Warri.

This was disclosed to newsmen in a statement signed by Dsp Edafe Bright, spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

The NHIS registration exercise is meant for all retired Police officers regardless of their ranks on retirement along with their spouses to enable them to have full access to all NHIS services and benefits covered by the Police Health Organisation (Police Maintenance Organization – HMO).

According to the statement, all retirees are requested to visit any Police Area Command nearest to them with their Letter of Retirement, Retiree’s I.D card, and one passport photograph belonging to the retiree spouse to complete the exercise.

However, the Commissioner of Police, Delta Delta State Police Command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc advises all retired police officers to take advantage of the golden opportunity that is been made possible by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni.

The CP also advise retirees to make themselves available for the capturing, while adhering strictly to Covid-19 protocols such as maintaining social distancing, washing of hands, and use of face masks during the registration exercise.
