See reactions as Shehu Sani speaks on looted items

As looting continues nationwide, especially the breaking of warehouses storing Covid-19 palliatives, Shehu Sani spoke about the possible fallout of the situation.

In a tweet on Sunday, October 25, the former member of the upper chamber, hinted that some of the looted items could be bad for consumption as he said:

“It’s difficult to convince people to check the expiry date of those cartons of Indomie and Bags of Rice.” Many have since reacted to his post on the bird app as some said that even if some of the items are bad, cooking would right the situation.

Below were some people’s reactions: @vidcodec said: “At this point, expiry dates mean nothing to them. The Government that kept those covid-19 palliatives knows it won’t expire anytime soon! More so ‘disease no dey kill black'”

@efeCamilus said: I never knew u are so good I’m comedy, watin concern aboki, and expiry date. Open make we cook jor” @Godwin_ebuka91 said:

“Not when the stomach hasn’t condemned it,” @ladetimi said: “Goods are usually not stored beyond their expiry in warehouses, especially goods such as palliatives…I think people know that. There’s a timed purpose for warehousing them which would not outstretch the expiry dates.” @tundeoladoja77 said: “Expiry date in the face of hunger! Hu cares? It’s easier to turn out progressive and constructive discussion when people don ‘belleful.'”

@Czooba said: “But why stock up palliatives meant for the poor masses without checking the expiration date.” @AdenikeAwe1 said: “Don’t worry sir, it’s dry goods, hence it’s best before & not use by. They are safe to eat”
