In a very sad and shocking incident, a pregnant woman named Nwafor Onyinye was found dead, hanging from a tree in Anambra State. The tree was a cashew tree located along the Uke/Ideani road in Idemili North Local Government Area.
This happened on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, and the police believe it might be a case of murder. The police are now trying very hard to find out what really happened and who may be responsible. They said this is a very unfortunate act and called it a terrible example of “man’s inhumanity to man,” which means someone did something very cruel.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the state, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, said the police want anyone who knows something about what happened to come forward and help. Community leaders and people living in the area have also been asked to help the police with any useful information.
Right now, the woman’s body has been taken to the mortuary (a place where bodies are kept) by police officers from Ogidi Police Division.
Mr. Ikenga said the police will keep the public updated as they learn more about the case.
This sad story has left many people in the community worried and hoping that justice will be served soon.
