A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and activist, Reno Omokri, has dished out some words of advice to Nigerian youths ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Omokri has said Nigerian youths should approach the 2023 elections as they did with Big Brother Naija.
He said this through a post he shared on his Twitter page on Monday, January 17, 2022.
According to his post, he advised them to ensure they vote on election day, no matter how long it takes to wait in line.
He also asked them to form a team and spend their money to campaign for their preferred candidates, adding that rigging is only possible “when there is low voter turnout”.
He further said that ” rigging is all but impossible” when there is high voter turnout.
In his words, he stated “Dear Nigerian youths. The 2023 election is upon us. Approach it as you did with #BBNaija. Form teams for your preferred candidate. Spend your money campaigning for them. Broadcast their manifestos to all your contacts. Don’t be BBNaija wise and Aso Rock foolish!”
