The son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, had planned to marry Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Nasir Bayero, Emir of Bichi in Kano State.
According to a source, preparations are on top gear for the big event because as tradition demands, the parents of the groom have to meet with the bride’s parents to express interest in the marriage.
It was gathered that the event would have taken place earlier but for the absence of the groom’s mother, Aisha Buhari, who recently returned from Dubai for a six-month medical trip.
The source further maintains that “Now that his mother has returned a few weeks to Ramadan [Muslim holy month], it is clear the wedding will take place after Sallah holidays.”
The source went further maintaining that the wedding ceremony would take place within the next two to three months.
Yusuf Buhari graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford, the United Kingdom in 2016.
Recall, how Yusuf was involved in a terrible power bike accident around the Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on December 27, 2017.
After a month, Yusuf was taking away from an Abuja hospital and flown abroad for treatment.
He returns to Nigeria after the medical trip after he miraculously survives the power bike crash on March 1, 2018.
However, Zahra Bayero is currently a student in the United Kingdom, studying architecture.
