Rainstorms uproot trees in Lagos – Cars, fence destroyed

Over two cars together with a fence of one building have been destroyed by trees uprooted by a rainstorm that occurred on Sunday early morning.

The incident happened in Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

It was gathered that the trees broke through the iron fence of one building and crushed cars parked on the other side of the fence.

A resident in the neighborhood said nobody was injured during the incident.

He stated that “The incident happened during the storm in the early morning.

“No one injured that we know of. Looks like the driver of the grey Merc SUV was trying to maneuver out when the trees fell with side as the car is in the middle of the road and unscathed.”
