After a successful election into the highest decision-making organ of world football, President Muhammadu Buhari rolled out a congratulatory message to celebrate the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr. Amaju Pinnick on his election into the FIFA Executive Council.
President Buhari made this disclosure through his verified Twitter page on Friday, March 12, 2021, stating that, the world has taken notice by electing him into the FIFA Council as one of the vice presidents of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).
According to President Buhari, while describing Mr. Amaju Pinnick on his new elective position said, he has proven himself to be more efficient with football administration through handwork, dedication, and consistency.
President Buhari said Nigeria has enhanced visibility and prestige in the international community following the recent elections of other qualified Nigerians into strategic and leadership positions in the international organizations.
