Police latest order ban vehicles with tinted glasses, covered number plate

A Joint Security Team in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has announced a ban on the use of tinted glasses and unauthorized covered plate numbers as an effort to rid the territory of criminality.

This was made know in a statement on Friday, in Abuja by the spokesperson of the FCT Command, ASP Mariam Yusuf.

According to the statement, the criminal syndicates now uses tinted vehicles with covered plate number to execute their notorious activities, stating that it became necessary following the recent security threat conducted by the joint team.

The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Mr. Bala Ciroma hereby warns residents using unauthorized covered plate numbers and tinted glass on vehicles within the FCT to desists as violators will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
