The Nasarawa State Police Command have burst an alleged kidnapping, extortion and armed robbery syndicate in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.
Rahman Nansel ASP, who is the command’s spokesman in the state, said this in a statement made available to the newsman.
He said, “A former Councillor of Umme Ward under the PDP, Umaru Adamu, has been arrested in connection with kidnappings in the local government.”
ASP Nansel said that the other gang members arrested with the former councilor were Yahaya Yusuf (26), Yusuf Enno (50), and Buhari Yusuf (30).
He also revealed that the suspects had been on the wanted list of the command and were arrested after painstaking intelligence gathering.
