Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church International also known as Winner Chapel, has warned his members not to take the Covid-19 vaccine.
Oyedepo stated this on Sunday in Ota Cathedral during the 40th anniversary Thanksgiving service of the church in OGUN State.
During the anniversary, Oyedepo stated that an elder in the church who works with the World Health Organisation has attested that the vaccine circulating across the country has not been duly tested.
Also, he said, the side effects defeated the benefits of taking the vaccine stating that, “They wanted Africa dead. I heard them say it. When we didn’t die as they proposed, they brought out a vaccination scheme. You need to hear their proclamation that Africa will lack spaces to bury corpses. But today, the reverse is the case. Africa has the least casualty among all the other continents of the world.”
He also faulted the idea of vaccinators going to churches to get people vaccinated while insisting that the church is an anti-Covid-19 zone.
According to Oyedepo, it is an insult to the church because nobody has the right to enforce vaccination on anybody.
He said, the government should come to him for a lasting solution to the Covid-19 pandemic, asking them to come to find out how to deal with the Covid-19 at no cost, while recommending that a shot of anointing oil can kill the virus.
