A PDP Elder statesman in Ndokwa, Delta State, Rear Admiral Mike Ojinika Onah (rtd), has described the passing on of Senator Patrick Enebeli Osakwe, as the loss of ‘Iroko’ in Ndokwa nation.
Onah while reacting to the death of Osakwe in a statement, said he had lost a brother, friend, and bridge builder in Ndokwa land.
He said the late Osakwe was passionate about the unity and development of Ndokwa land while alive, stressing that the unfortunate news of Osakwe,s death in London was a big blow, not only to him, but the entire Ndokwa nation in particular, and Delta in general.
Admiral Onah recalled the stint of Senator Osakwe as Senator representing Delta North, stressing that it ushered in much development and unity.
The revered elder statesman added that as a close ally of the deceased, he found Osakwe a true Patriot whose actions were motivated by love for the collective interest of his people.
Said Ona:” words fail me to describe the passage of a true son of Ndokwa. Osakwe was an icon, a Pathfinder whose wealth of experience in business and politics was felt by all and sundry. Indeed Nfokwa has lost a patriotic look”.
He, therefore, prayed God for the repose of Osakwe,s soul, while condoling the immediate family as well as the Ndokwa nation and the entire Delta PDP family to take solace in the good works of the deceased which are tangible in the hearts of all and sundry.
