The people of Ika nation in Delta State has commended the management of Zenith Bank Plc for opening another branch at Agbor /Owa Boji-Boji metropolis to ease banking transactions of the people.
Some Zenith Bank customers disclosed this to newsmen in Agbor where they noted that the opening of a new branch of the bank close to the Orogodo River was a very good development.
A trader who gave his name as Mr. Vincent Nwakaji said that the opening of the branch would reduce the suffering that customers undergo at the Zenith Bank Branch in the uptown of Agbor stressing that customers had to stay in the queue for long hours before carrying out their transactions.
Mr.Nwakaji added that it was always worst when one has to deposit money explaining that a lot of time was always wasted.
Another customer to the bank, Mrs. Rosemary Uweh, stated that one would no longer to go up town again to do banking transactions with the opening of the new branch in the area.
The trader added that it was like going through hell doing banking transactions during the lockdown and the observing of COVID-19 rules of social distancing, washing of hands before entering the bank premise, and the subsequent entering of the bank hall.
She further said that the opening of the new branch would also create more jobs both for skilled and unskilled labourers.
Meanwhile, Staff of the main branch also expressed joy over the opening of the new branch, stressing that it would give them a lot of relief in the discharge of their duties.
Also, a staff of the bank at the main branch in Agbor said “counting money in the bank was like one doing mixing cement stone and (kponkpor work) in serving a bricklayer during a building project.
He said that it was not easy for them to count tens of millions of naira for the teeming population of the bank customers who want to be served at the same time.
He further expressed gratitude to God for keeping them alive especially during the worst times of COVID-19 where customers rush in at the same time. He also commended the management of the bank for the safety precaution put in place to check the spread of the pandemic at the branch.
