The Political Adviser to the Governor in charge of Delta South, Omimi Esquire, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the leadership and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta, on the outcome of the Isoko South Constituency 1 bye-election which saw the emergence of Mr. Ovuakpoye Evivie as the winner.
Omimi also congratulated the new member-elect, Ovuakpoye Evivie on the landslide victory at the Saturday, September 11 polls where he scored a total of 6, 957 votes to emerge as the member-elect representing the constituency in the State House of Assembly.
According to the Political Adviser, the leadership efforts of Governor Okowa who led party faithful in the ward to ward campaign rallies before the bye-elections set the stage for the landslide victory of Evivie.
Omimi Esquire described the victory of the PDP flagbearer Evivie, as “well deserved, and a further confirmation of the party’s dominance in Isoko South in particular, and Delta State in general.
He, therefore, commended the people of Isoko South Constituency 1 for voting en masse for the PDP, assuring them that they will continue to benefit from the Okowa administration in terms of delivery of the dividends of democracy.
Said Omimi Esquire,” l hereby congratulate my boss and leader of the PDP in Delta, His Excellency the Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on the landslide victory of the party’s candidate in the September 11 bye-election into the Isoko South Constituency 1 seat, Hon Ovuakpoye Evivie, on the landslide victory. Our Governor has shown leadership qualities by being at the forefront of ward-to-ward campaign rallies before the election in Isoko South 1. Our great party chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, l say kudos for being there always for our Governor. And for my dear brand new DTHA representative, Hon Ovuakpoye Evivie, l congratulate you and urge you to keep the party flag flying as you start from where our dear departed loyal member and your predecessor, late Hon Kenneth Ogba, stopped. It is my firm belief that you will make us proud by joining hands with his Excellency and the party in delivering dividends of democracy to your constituents. Once again, congratulations all.”
