Asaba, 27th August 2024 – The Chairman of the State Wing Executive Council (SWEC) of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Titus Okotie, alongside the NUT Secretary, Comrade Dan Basime, has extended warm congratulations to Delta State’s Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of the state’s 33rd anniversary.
In a heartfelt message, the leaders of the NUT praised Governor Oborevwori for his unwavering support and dedication to the welfare of teachers in Delta State. They acknowledged his commitment to fostering an environment conducive to education and for being a “Teacher-Friendly Governor” who has consistently prioritized the needs of educators across the state.
Speaking on behalf of all teachers in Delta State, Comrade Okotie and Comrade Basime expressed their pride in the progress the state has made since its creation. They commended the Governor’s leadership and vision, which have contributed significantly to the development and success of Delta State’s educational sector.
“As we mark this epoch celebration of the creation of Delta State, ‘The Big Heart,’ we, the teachers of Delta State (Public Primary and Secondary), extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Teacher-Friendly Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori,” the NUT leaders stated.
They also used the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to supporting the Governor’s MORE Agenda and to continuing their efforts in delivering quality education to the children of Delta State.
