Kenya has decided to make travelling easier for people from almost all African countries. Before, visitors had to apply online and pay $30 to get permission to enter Kenya. Now, most African visitors can come without this step. However, people from Somalia and Libya still need to get permission because of safety reasons.
Why Is Kenya Doing This?
Kenya wants to be friendly and welcome more tourists. By making it simpler to visit, they hope more people will come to see their beautiful country. This change also helps Kenya work better with other African nations.
How Long Can Visitors Stay?
If you’re from an African country, you can now visit Kenya for up to two months without needing special permission. For visitors from nearby countries like Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi, you can stay for up to six months. This is because these countries have a special agreement with Kenya.
What About Safety?
Even though Kenya is making it easier to visit, they still care a lot about safety. The government will check visitors before they arrive and make sure airports are secure. They want everyone to have a safe and pleasant trip.
Other Countries Doing the Same
Kenya isn’t the only country making these changes. Ghana and Rwanda also let people from other African countries visit without a visa. This helps Africans travel more easily across the continent.
