The Edo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the death of nine persons who died in an accident on their way to a wedding ceremony on Saturday at Ekpon Junction on Agbor-Ewohimi Road in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to the Sector Commander of FRSC, Edo Command, Henry Benemesia, explained that the five persons died on the spot while others passed away on their way to the hospital.
It was gathered that the accident occurred when the bus conveying the deceased from Benin to Ewatto in Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state clashes with a vehicle load with bags of cement heading to the South East.
Nine among the ten occupants of the bus died and their body later being deposited in the mortuary of an undisclosed hospital in Edo.
However, one of the survival of the accident, a 15-year-old male was reached to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
