In a tragic incident that unfolded in Lagos State, a bouncer identified as Kingsley Otti has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death at a lounge on Ago Palace Way in Okota. The confrontation that led to the fatality occurred around 3:30 am on Monday in the club’s car park.
According to a statement from the Lagos State Police Command, the situation escalated after an altercation broke out between Otti and the deceased, who has not yet been identified but is suspected to be a hoodlum.
The club’s manager reported the incident to the Ago-Okota Division around 11:30 am on the same day. The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, provided further details in the official statement released on Wednesday.
“The manager reported that during the altercation, the male suspect was stabbed and subsequently lost consciousness. He was quickly taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Idi-Araba, Mushin, where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician,” Hundeyin stated.
Following the incident, the deceased’s body has been transferred to the Mainland General Hospital Morgue in Yaba for autopsy. The police investigation is ongoing, as authorities seek to gather more information surrounding the circumstances of the altercation.
