A 55-year-old man, Yesiru Salisu, has been taken into custody in Ogun State after police said they found human body parts on him.
According to police, those parts included four skulls, three jaws, and two hands.
The suspect was seen with a bag slung over his left shoulder in the Ago-Iwoye area of the state and was accosted by residents who demanded to know what he was carrying in the bag.
Upon being questioned, he dropped the bag and ran into the bush.
The Divisional Police Officer, Ago-Iwoye Police Division, Paul Omiwole led detectives to the scene and found the bag filled with human parts.
The detectives also fished out Salisu from the bush and apprehended him.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said Salisu said he will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
