The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced to increase the monthly allocation of Corps members serving in the State from N5000 to N15000.
The Governor made this known when he visited the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Permanent Orientation camp at Iseyin on Thursday.

The Governor explained on Twitter how he visited the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Iseyin on Thursday evening assuring the corps members that his administration will address the issues raised by the Commandant about the state of the camp and also promised them on his intention to increase their monthly allowance from N5,000 to N15,000.

The Governor while speaking with corps members also recalls how it was during his national youth service in Port Harcourt, stating that he was an example of how the NYSC fosters national integration.

He said, “I also shared with them how it was during my national youth service in Port-Harcourt that I got a job and met and married my lovely wife, @iamominini. So, I am an example of how the national youth service could foster national integration. I wished them the best for the future.”
