Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale, popularly known as Joeboy, has dropped his first single for the year titled ‘Cubana’.
The song talks about the wealth of Obi Cubana, a Nigerian celebrity businessman, and socialite.
Joeboy took to his Instagram page on Thursday to announce the official release of the single — after days of anticipating it ahead of his US tour tagged ‘The Young Legend’.
The 24-year-old music star showcases his lyrical vocals in the less than three-minute track, produced by Type A.
According to some part of the lyrics, Joeboy sing “Put am for me confama/ If you be hoe/ I be farmer/ plenty money bi ti Obi Cubana/ If the vibes negative my dear don’t bother,” he sings.
Talking about ‘Cubana’, Joeboy had earlier said: “This is probably the most playful song I’ve ever released.”
“I was in the studio trying to create a ‘heartbreak song ‘with my producer TYPE A, and there was this particular progression that was vibey and trippy, and I just started playing around with it,” Joeboy thought back.
