Harnaaz Sandhu, a contestant from India has been crowned as the winner of Miss Universe 2021, on Sunday night.
The pageant took place at the resort city of Eilat, Isreal, with 80 women from around the world vying for the crown.
The competition was hosted by comedian Steve Harvey, a U.S comedian, and TV host.
During the process, the contestants were removed at various points until the two last finalists.
Sandhu won the top prize while Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira and South Africa’s Lalela Mswane finished up as the first and second runner up respectively.
The 21-year-old was presented the crown by Andrea Meza, former Miss Universe 2020 from Mexico, at the event which was live-streamed globally.
Meza was on May 17 crowned winner of the 69th edition after the competition had to be postponed for more than a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Miss Universe pageant was founded in 1952 and currently just rounded up its 70th edition.
