Immediate past Commissioner of Finance in Delta State, Sir. Okenmor Fidelis Tilijie said he is ready to go on a public debate with any individual or organization on the finances of the state because Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s led administration has served meticulously which the World Bank can attest to the facts.
The past finance commissioner made this known on Wednesday, immediately after the send-forth ceremony organized by the Ministry of Finance in Asaba when journalists asked him to comment on the recent allegations made by Sheriff Mulade and Pa. E.K Clark regarding the 13 percent derivation funds.

Sir. Tilijie said he doesn’t want to go to the pages of newspapers and begin to discuss the finances of the state because he believed there are laws before they came into office and there are still existing laws even after they have left, adding that there are legal ways to go about it not by shouting at the pages of newspapers.
According to him “We respect Pa. E.K Clark very well but I’m not going to join any forces or discussions with him or anybody else but I am by the grace of God alive today and I hope I’ll be alive for more years to come and I am willing to take a debate on the finances of Delta state with any individual or agency that want to incurred or inquiries into whatever we have done.
He said World Bank spoke about it and give accolades to Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on the transparency of expenditure and the accountability of the expenditure of the state.
Tilijie said the projects that have been financed and the ones claimed to have been financed are there for all to see.
“All the projects are there and all the finances are there”, the ex-commissioner said.
