The Delta State Police Command has arrested the manager of Toscana hotel Asaba, following the death of Mrs.Adaobi Enechukwu, who reportedly died in the hotel.
It was gathered that Mrs. Enechukwu a police officer, died as a result of the faulty elevator in the hotel.
The victim who hails from Adazi-Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, had traveled to Asaba, Delta State capital, for a wedding function, and was a guest before she died in the hotel.
The faulty elevator door was reportedly opened as the victim entered the trap without realizing that the elevator didn’t come up
Video footage ripped from the hotel’s CCTV control room, shows the moment Enechukwu entered the elevator to proceed to the next floor in the hotel.
In line with the tragic loss of the police woman, the management of the hotel have been blamed for carelessness, lack of maintenance, and inability to meet best international practices
