Hon. Angele Hosts MFDYP, Calls on Delta Youths to Support Oborevwori’s Re-election

The Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele, has reaffirmed his support for the developmental strides of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, describing him as a leader with an open heart and a deep commitment to the state’s progress.

During a meeting with the leadership and members of the M.O.R.E For Delta Youths Project (MFDYP) at his residence today, Hon. Angele stressed the importance of regular engagement between the group and its patrons to maintain unity and sustain their shared vision for Delta State’s future.

Hon. Angele highlighted one of the key achievements of Gov. Oborevwori’s administration: the approval of the Odumoji-Ogulaha Road project in Burutu. The Commissioner emphasized the road’s strategic importance, particularly as it serves the Facados Terminal, a critical infrastructure hub in the area. According to him, this long-overdue project reflects the Governor’s responsiveness to the needs of grassroots communities.

Speaking on his ministry’s contributions, Angele praised the Governor’s support for housing development, including the construction of two new hostels to address pressing accommodation needs. He noted that these projects underscore Gov. Oborevwori’s commitment to improving lives across Delta State.

Hon. Angele, a two-time Chairman of Burutu Local Government and a patron of the MFDYP, called on the group to strengthen their support for Gov. Oborevwori’s administration. He encouraged them to amplify the Governor’s achievements as a testament to his leadership. “Your commitment to propagating his good works will pave the way for his re-election in 2027,” Angele stated.

Amb. Ugagaoghene Ogheneyole, the Deputy Director-General of MFDYP, commended Gov. Oborevwori’s record of achievements. He highlighted significant infrastructure developments, including the multi-billion-naira drainage project designed to address flooding in the state. “This administration has exceeded expectations, transforming not only Warri but Delta State as a whole,” he remarked.

Ogheneyole dismissed ongoing political tensions in parts of the state, expressing confidence that Delta youths will stand firmly behind Gov. Oborevwori. “Come 2027, we will respond to any distractions with massive votes for the Governor,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of Burutu youths, Mr. Welemu, the local coordinator of MFDYP, lauded Hon. Angele’s leadership style, describing him as an accessible and compassionate leader. He expressed satisfaction with the direction of the Oborevwori-led administration and its commitment to the welfare of the people.

“We are proud of what Gov. Oborevwori has achieved so far. His leadership has brought significant development, and we are solidly behind him,” Welemu affirmed.

The meeting culminated in a vote of confidence passed by the MFDYP members, acknowledging Gov. Oborevwori’s transformative leadership. The group pledged their continued support to ensure the Governor’s re-election in 2027, highlighting the excitement and hope his administration has brought to the people of Delta State.

This visit further solidifies the bond between the Oborevwori administration, its allies, and the Delta youths, reinforcing a shared commitment to the state’s progress.
