The 14th edition of the Headies award which was done virtually following the restriction of the Covid-19 protocols was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The award was held on February 21st, 2021 has its nominees announced in December 2020.
The leading artists for the nomination are Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido while having Fireboy Dml secured several awards, including bigs wins for Best Pop Album and Best R&B single.
The award features performances from BBNaija 2020 winner, Laycon, alongside, DJ Neptune, Joeboy, Fireboy DML, the Cavemen and many others.
The award also have some of the favorite celebrities, like Wizkid, Falz, Pheelz, Simi and Mayorkun, picked up golden statues for their performances.
The award was attended by a lot of Nigerian celebrities like Wizkid, 2baba, Sound Sultan, AJ, AQ, iLLBliss, Bad Boy Tims, Omah Lay, Mayorkun, and others.
The award which was hosted by TV personality and actress Nancy Isime and comedian Bovi also saw winners in new categories such as Songwriter of The Year and Best Alternative Album.
The award also have Omah Lay and Bad Boy Tim’s pick up their award for the first time, having Omah Lay emerge as the Next Rated.
