Fire outbreak at Police headquarters control room in Asaba

The Delta State Police Command has announced a fire outbreak at the state headquarters control engine room today in Asaba.

These were made known in a statement by the Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Edafe Bright, Ag, on Thursday, April, 22.

According to the statement, the incident happened at 14:45 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the State headquarters engine room in Asaba, the state capital.

The Spokesperson in the statement, clarified that the fire only affected a part of the control engine room, stating how the timely intervention of fire service was called to immediately save the situation before it was put out.

DSP Edafe said, the cause of the fire incident was not yet to be determined but suggested it might be as a result of electrical spark from the communication engine room, adding that, investigation has commence into the incident.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammad Ali, has urge members of the public to ignore any rumor contrary to the actual fact stated by the Command.
