The political Adviser to the Delta State governor, Omimi Esquire, celebrated the First Lady of Delta State, Dame Edith Okowa as she marks her 60 year birthday.
According to Esquire in a statement, described the First Lady as a dependable partner and a strong pillar of support in the actualization of the Okowa administration.
Esquire, in his congratulatory messages, noted that without the support of the First Lady to her husband at home, it would have been difficult for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to concentrate on impacting positively on the landmark infrastructures and human capital development as recorded in the six years of his administration.
Esquire said, Dame Okowa through her 05 initiative has brought succor and hope to hundreds of widows, orphans, physically challenged both children and elderly.
He said, “Dame Okowa in her generosity usually picked up medical bills of indigent parents who were blessed with children but could not pay their discharge bills, visit inmates with foodstuffs in the prison, give moral exhortation, conduct free eye checks, cataract operation including the provision of eyeglasses, the building of sickle cell unit at the Asaba specialist hospital and the improvement of other health facilities in the state.”
He added “On behalf of my staff and family, l heartily felicitates with a dependable mother, wife, grandmother, and indeed mother to all, Her Excellency, Dame Edith Okowa, on the occasion of her diamond (60th) birthday anniversary, today Tuesday the 1st day of June 2021. It is my prayer that the good Lord continues to imbue her with the grace, protection, and wisdom, to be not only a pillar of support to our award-winning Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as he turns the fortunes of Deltans around with his stronger Delta vision but also in her quest, through her 05 initiative, to bring succor to the less privileged in society. Once again, happy birthday, mother of Delta, Dame Edith Okowa.”
